Stories
I’m fascinated by our need to make stories and by the power stories have over us. I’ve explored stories in my gaming and in improv, but I’ve taken advantage of more traditional forms as well.
What have I done?
I’ve written a little bit of my own fiction. My short stories have appeared in the anthologies My First Time from SoftCopy Publishing and Finis: A Book of Endings to Give People New Beginnings from Tomorrow The World! Games.
I’ve also read other people’s fiction for the podcasts PodCastle and Escape Pod, including:
- Sir Herward and Mr. Fitz Go To War Again by Garth Nix
- A Heretic By Degrees by Marie Brennan
- The Dreaming Wind by Jeffrey Ford
- Secret Life by Jeff Vandermeer
- Hotel Astarte by M. K. Hobson
- The House Beyond Your Sky by Benjamin Rosenbaum
- Tk’tk’tk by David Levine
- L’Alchimista by N. K. Jemison
What do I want to do?
I’d like to write more short fiction; that’s about where the sweet spot of my desires and abilities is right now. Despite that, I’m working on a novel, with the working title of Sun, Moon, and Stars. I’ve loved reading for podcasts, and I’d like to do more with that.
