It's Where I Do My Best Thinking

Between today's two showers1, I figured out two things:

  1. The short story I've been noodling over for at least a year now actually takes place in an alternate history in which Brutus' assassination of Caesar preserved the Roman Republic, and part of the central action of the story involves a comic opera portraying that event.
  2. The real title of the game I've been calling More Questions Than Answers is probably The Lesser Evil.

1 I got a haircut, which necessitated the second shower.

Aw. I prefer More Questions Than Answers — it's a very succinct description of (what I assume is) the basic play experience. And it describes situation, whereas Lesser Evil describes a decision — after the decision (and thematic address, to be all Forgey) is made. Which is to say: I want to play MQTA, but The Lesser Evil Makes me feel like the game's already been played without me.

Interesting. I think the game (mechanically and thematically) is about the players deciding what the lesser evil is, which is why that title speaks to me.

It's where I do my best thinking too.
